Lead short- and medium-term projects (<6 months in duration) for specific vendors within assigned categories. Define project scope, timelines, benefits, and see projects to completion.
Maintain lead role in consistently gathering local market data for multiple DCs in assigned Area (including trends) through feedback and intelligence from culinary team, sales staff, and vendor partners. Report new product opportunities and provide data on competitors. Finalize Area assortmEnt and core complement and exception skus.
Assess and diagnose performance gaps and work with corporate counterparts to recommend practical, timely and effective solutions to close gaps.
Participate on a cross-functional team to develop new product launch programs, analyze historical new product launches, and report on success rates.
Designs and conducts requests for proposals for vendor tools; supports vendor management.
Guide operations management in compliance with government and other regulatory agency guidelines and laws and company programs. Implement programs to ensure overall safety, security, maintenance and ergonomics for the operations functions.
Manage systems used to serve up freight savings opportunities (tms, crossbow, etc.) and ensure there are standard operating procedures for the freight management processes.
Analyzes performance, national and divisional metrics, etc. On a routine and ad hoc basis - identifying trends, opportunities and obstacles to success.
A proven team builder and a team player with strong relationship building skills with various stakeholders at all levels.
Work with the director of facility maintenance, acting as a company's technical resource for electrical, mechanical, structural, fire, and plumbing, or civil related issues.
Manage the relevant communication and education to field, sales personnel and support office staff to assure understanding of contract elements and business objectives to provide service excellence.
Monitor utilization of contracts, division performance, and manage the resolution of supplier issues associated with contract pursuit and execution.
Develop strategy to standardize production/packaging equipment, set standards for company.
Maintain and strengthen the customer relationship by understanding and responding to customer needs and market conditions in a timely and effective manner utilizing appropriate resources as need.
